Preparing custom granule formula dosages

Recommendations from Eric Brand based on Taiwanese practitioners put dosage at between 12 - 18g per day for the total amount of granules.

Broken down into 3 times a day, that puts the average dose between 4-6 grams per dose.

Evergreen recommends an average daily dose of around 6-10 grams per day.

Depending on the spoon used, 1 spoon can range from 1 to 2 grams.

One capsule from Sunten or Evergreen is .5g or 500mg. Using the spoon given from Sunten and Evergreen, 1 spoon is the equivalent of 2 capsules.

Please visit the following link for more information and examples of dosages.

Online Continuing Education and Webinars

The following websites have video-based lectures, webinars, and courses.  Some give out credits for continuing education for license renewal, other ones do not. So if you are wanting to just take courses for CEU credits make sure that the course that you click on has credits available. The first four links posted specialize in credits for licensure renewal. The second set of links may or may not have CEU credits depending on which video you watch.

I will update the list periodically. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Enjoy!

PROS:
  • At the forefront of the TCM field, elotus does a good job of keeping their ear to the ground and introducing new speakers and new ideas into the TCM community. For clinically relevant material elotus is a good place to see where the new trends are heading in Chinese medicine.
  • Wide range of lectures to fulfill all the credits needed for licensure, with topics ranging from distal acupuncture, pulse diagnosis, herbology, biomedicine, marketing, insurance, and more.
  • They offer a very generous "Gold Pass" that includes access to all of their videos, as well as receiving a store voucher for Evergreen herbs, a herbal company that elotus works in close conjunction with.
CONS:
  • No lifetime access for the courses after they expire.

Possibly no CEU for some courses

TCM supply companies

The following websites sell acupuncture and Chinese medicine supplies. If you are a practitioner or a student double check to see if they offer wholesale pricing. If you are a practitioner you will just need your license number. If they offer student pricing and you are a student you will most likely need to show your student ID.
